Running, much like recovery, has taught me a kind of discipline I never knew I had. Both show me that the impossible is very possible, if I stay focused. A day at a time. Step by step.
Running with The Phoenix is what makes this come full circle. They do so much for the one thing that's gotten me here, and that's recovery. Being able to give back to an organization that gives so much to so many people in their hardest seasons, that's special. I don't take it lightly.
My goal is to raise $3,500 to help keep Phoenix programs free for anyone with 48 hours or more of sobriety.
Your donation helps fund:
- Free fitness classes, runs, and group workouts for people in recovery
- A community that gets it because they've been there too
- Programs that show people the impossible is, in fact, very possible
Whether you can give $10, $25, or $100, you're helping somebody find what I found. Thank you for being part of this.
Let's go get this 26.2 in the greatest city in the world!
Together, we rise.
