Family and friends!!! I’m beyond thrilled to share that a true bucket list dream is coming to life—I'll be running my 7th marathon in one of my favorite cities!!! The New York City Marathon on November 2, 2025!

But what makes it even more meaningful is that I get to run for a cause I deeply believe in—The Phoenix. The Phoenix has made a huge impact on my life, and has allowed me to participate in incredible opportunities. I’m so grateful for this opportunity to support the cause, just like it’s supported me over the last 4+ years.

The Phoenix is a nonprofit that offers free fitness and movement-based classes to individuals in recovery, creating a supportive, sober-active community. As a proud volunteer, I’ve seen firsthand the impact this organization has. It’s been incredible to see the program grow locally, nationally, and internationally! I can also personally attest to the power of movement in recovery and am beyond grateful the Phoenix exists. It’s been a tremendous part of my recovery story.

What started as just volunteering with the Phoenix in 2020 by setting out yoga mats turned into my getting certified to teach yoga. And in 2021 at the encouragement of a good friend and employee of the Phoenix, I ran my first marathon (at nine months sober!).  I have since completed 6 full marathons, and 8 half-marathons since that first race.  Being part of this iconic race feels like the ultimate milestone in my running journey.

Now, I’m combining my passion for running with my passion for purpose.
