This year I am taking on the exciting challenge of running the NYC Marathon! Even more menaingful, I am running to raise funds for the Phoenix, a national nonprofit thats changing the way we think about addiction and recovery- through the power of community and movement.
I have been a Phoenix volunteer for six years and have seen first hand the incredible work that they do. It is the belief of the Phoneix that healing happens with peple connect, belong and move together. Since 2006, they have empowered more than 687,000 members through free, sober and community-driven activities across the United States- from Crossfit and climbing to music, art, dance and more.
The best part is that all of these programs are completely free to anyone with just 48 hours sobriety- including friends, family, and allies of those in recovery.
To support their life-changing work, I have committed to raising $3,500, and I would love to dedicate a mile to you for helping me get there.
Every step counts, and every dollar directly supports The Phoenix's mission to help more people rise.
Thank you so much for your encouragement and generosity. Shared miles are the best miles!
With gratitude,
Karen
