REIS x The Phoenix Weekend Itinerary

Friday April 10- Weekend Warmup

The ride will be led by Miami native and former professional cyclist Andrew Talansky along with Coach Gaby Larrea, the founder of REIS Cycling. We’ll meet for coffee and some delicious baked goods (provided by our sponsor Cindy Lou’s Cookies) and enjoy a leisurely lap of Key Biscayne together

Location: Starbucks, 2550 S Bayshore Dr, Coconut Grove, FL 33133

Meet: 7:00am
Ride departs: 7:30am
Duration: Approximately 1.5 hours

Saturday Morning April 11 – Public Ride

75-mile open to everyone ride hosted by REIS Cycling and The Phoenix. Brisk but approachable pace with a regroup midway at Robert’s Is Here.

Location: Starbucks, 2550 S Bayshore Dr, Coconut Grove, FL 33133

Meet: 6:20am
Ride departs: 6:45am

**Note: This ride is a good option to join if you want to add some extra miles to your weekend or if you have friends or family who want to enjoy a great ride and learn more about REIS and The Phoenix, but did not commit to fundraising.

Saturday Evening April 11 – We Feast

Private dinner featuring stories from The Phoenix community and former professional cyclists Andrew Talansky and Christian Vande Velde along with other special guests.

Location: Mr. C’s Residences 2655 S Bayshore Dr, Miami, FL 33133
Start Time: 6pm

Sunday Morning April 12 – We Ride

An exclusive, donor only, fully supported 70-mile ride featuring Andrew Talansky and Christian Vande Velde includes:

• Complimentary coffee and pastries at the start

• SAG support

• Mid ride rest stop at Homestead Bayfront Park

Meet: 7:15am

Ride departs: 8:00am
Start location: Key Biscayne Bridge Beach - 17 Rickenbacker Cswy, Miami, FL 33149
Finish location: 2935 Seminole Street Miami, FL 33133

Sunday Afternoon April 12 – We Celebrate

Post ride celebratory meal and Paris-Roubaix viewing party to close out the weekend hosted by Lee Marks

Location: 2935 Seminole Street Miami, FL 33133
Start time: Upon ride finish (approximately 12pm)

**Note: Our start and finish locations for Sunday’s ride are approximately 2.4 miles apart. Parking is readily available at both. You are welcome to park at the start and enjoy lunch in your cycling kit before pedaling back to your car or to park near our finishing location and ride to the start. If you would prefer to change out of your cycling kit before lunch (or jump in the pool post ride) we recommend parking near the ride finish location either on the street or at nearby Kennedy Park.

Plus One Policy

We have received questions on this so please read carefully. You are welcome to bring a spouse or significant other to the Saturday night dinner and/or have them meet you at the Sunday post ride celebration.

Our Friday morning shakeout and Sunday morning donor appreciation ride are for donors only and require that you have an active page on the event website while meeting the $500 minimum fundraising commitment.
