On October 26, I’ll be running my first marathon — 26.2 miles through Napa Valley — to raise money for The Phoenix and support people on their journey toward recovery.
This cause is deeply personal to me.
When I was eight years old, I lost someone very close to me to a heroin overdose. I was the one who found them after they had passed.
It’s an experience that has stayed with me ever since.
For many years, it was simply a painful part of my past. Today, I want to turn that pain into something meaningful — something that may help another person or family affected by addiction.
That’s why I’m dedicating my first marathon to The Phoenix, a nonprofit that helps people build stronger lives in recovery through fitness, community, and connection.
Every mile will be for those struggling with addiction, those working toward recovery, and the families and loved ones affected along the way.
My goal is to raise $2,620 — $100 for every mile I run.
Another way to look at it: if 100 people donate just $26.20, we can reach that goal together.
Every donation, no matter the amount, means something. And if you’re unable to donate, simply sharing this fundraiser can help it reach someone who can.
Finishing my first marathon will be a personal milestone, but I want these 26.2 miles to stand for something bigger than myself.
Thank you for supporting this run, this cause, and the people working toward a better chapter in their lives.
26.2 miles. One cause. For recovery.
I can’t change the past, but I can choose what I do with it.
